Tom MantonTim Manton a well known Classic Motocross ace - and current leader of the Welsh Classic Motocross Championship Pre 68 unlimited class - has had his four bikes stolen from his workshop in Coleshill, near Birmingham. The theft happened on Friday night, July 17, when according to Tim " The theives got through the Fort Knox style security we have and to add insult to injury made off with the bikes in our Sprinter van which was parked next to the workshop."

Two of the race bikes are unmistakeable in the Classic Pre-65 scene.

The bikes in question are:

Jawa Wasp (Burgundy tank and side plates with number 96) This is Tim's new mount with a Roger Taylor engine.

CZ 360 1971 model - just been restored and is immaculate. It has a red frame with silver tank and plastics and number 96.

Husqvarna TE410 2000 model trail bike, W327 COV, Frame number ZCGH500AAY002953.

Yamaha YZ 250 2003 model mx bike converted for enduro use, Reg CN03 SWY, Frame number VNCG13C003997.

A reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of the machines so if you have any information please telephone Tim Manton on 07802 683124.

Tim concludes: "Fortunately my other Jawa race bike was not taken as it was minus a front wheel, so if anyone out there is thinking, 'Great, that's Tim Manton out of the way' I've still got one left!"
